Most grammar checkers charge $10-$30 per month. They upload your text to their servers, store your writing history, and lock the best features behind premium tiers. We think that's backwards.
We built AI Grammar Checker to be completely free and private. All text processing happens in your browser using the DeepSeek AI API — we never store, log, or upload your writing to our servers. The tool corrects grammar, fixes spelling, checks punctuation, and computes readability scores (Flesch Reading Ease, Gunning Fog, SMOG) — all in one click.
How It Works
1. Grammar & Spelling Correction
Your text is sent to DeepSeek's large language model with a specialized prompt that instructs it to fix grammar errors, correct spelling mistakes, and improve sentence structure while preserving your original meaning and tone. The AI understands context — it won't "correct" deliberate stylistic choices.
2. Readability Scoring
After correction, the tool runs three industry-standard readability formulas: Flesch Reading Ease, Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, and SMOG Index. These scores help you gauge whether your writing is appropriate for your target audience.
3. History (Local Only)
Your correction history is saved in your browser's localStorage — 10 entries maximum. You can clear it anytime. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

We monetize through display advertising (Google AdSense). This keeps the tool free for everyone — students, non-native English speakers, job seekers — anyone who needs help with their writing. No paywalls, no premium tiers, no data selling.
